Yay! You're engaged. Congrats! Up until your wedding, you're going to be making 2,000+ decisions. I want to help you make your best decision for you and your partner in regards to finding the right photographer. Imagine spending the most important day of your life with someone who hypes you up, supports you, calms you, all while capturing the best moments with your loved ones. We can provide all that, plus the best photos you'll keep for the rest of your life. Let's make sure we are a great fit!
The Story
HI THERE! Congratulations on getting engaged! We’re so excited that you’re considering us to be a part of your wedding day.
Our mission is for you to have the most present, enjoyable wedding day with your loved ones. We want to be able to provide you the images that will take you back to that feeling when you look back at them 10, 20 years later. We have found that detailed communication and planning are key to having a smooth and organized day of photography coverage.
THE PROCESS
Through every step, from the initial email to delivering your wedding photos, we’ll provide you with a fun, stress-free and fully customizable experience.
MEETING: HI, NICE TO MEET YOU!
A Zoom/Whatsapp meeting is the first step in the booking process. This is our opportunity to get to know each other and ensure we are a great fit to make your wedding as smooth as possible! After you decide to book with me, we will send you a questionnaire that we can fill out together that addresses any and all details related to you!
PLANNING: Our services aren't just about taking photos.
After you book with Heart & Root Photo, we will be assisting you with the planning and structuring the timeline of your day. After doing this for so many years, there are a lot of tips that can maximize your coverage time and make sure that you get to enjoy your day.
We provide frequent check ins as well as coordinate with you and your wedding support team to make sure the day runs as smoothly as possible. It's not just about photos to us- it's about the experience and communication.
ENGAGEMENT SESSION
If your booking includes a session, it's time to show off your love! Our engagement sessions allow us to photograph your energy and let the movement and moments speak for themselves. We can use this time to have fun and get a preview of how your photos will be guided during your wedding day.
OH YAY, WEDDING DAY!
Our approach to your wedding day is all about being in the moment. We prioritize on providing a calming presence and love to let things unfold. When we see opportunities for creativity or what we call, a "golden moment," we will gently direct where needed. We aren't afraid to direct when it comes to families or bridal parties- our biggest wedding had 15+ groomsmen and 15+ bridesmaids. It is very important to have a confident energy that can assist with guiding. Confidence in coordinating the timeline and formals ultimately allows you to have the time to really enjoy your wedding day. Communication and respect are intertwined in our approach.

YOU'RE MARRIED!
Following your wedding, we hand select the best images and enhance them to the style that represents Heart & Root Photography. We take over 400 images per hour of event (for a full wedding day that is over 3,000 images), just to make sure we are capturing every moment. After the event, we spend many meticulous hours sorting through, picking out, and editing details so you have the best images that represent the day! This is where our arts are truly cultivated and why you invest into our brand. There are so many components to wedding photography- it is important that our clients understand the value and time put into our work.
THE DELIVERY
Your sneak previews will be posted 48 hours of the event. Within 4-6 weeks of your wedding, we will be delivering your images via digital download in our gallery. We have a smooth process and options for purchasing prints from our store using our professional labs. We've noticed clients like this option vs. downloading the images themselves and finding a quality print lab. We also have add ons for album curation and creation as options for purchase!

Our style is perfect for couples who want to be present for their wedding day. We believe in approaching weddings like growing a plant: establishing the ground work, potting the plant, and appreciating how the root naturally deviates in the soil to grow something beautiful. In the end, you need to have a plan and a vision for things to run smoothly! Your wedding day is a privilege to photograph and we want to capture it the best way we can.
