Booking Process Questions
What areas do you cover?
I am primarily servicing the Tampa bay region + up 40 miles from center city of Tampa. Let's talk if you have other requests! <3
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Right now, I am servicing within 40 miles from Tampa, FL. I hope to do it in the future though! Outside of radius will incur a fee to account for mileage & driving time.
Do you cover small ceremonies?
OMG, YES! I absolutely love small ceremonies. It is important that you feel comfortable with your big day, and I would love to capture it for you. Please note I have a customizable package for events such as courthouse weddings.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes! We are covered and can provide certificates upon request.
Why a second shooter?
Our standard packages include a second shooter for the option for full coverage. This means more creative shots, less rush, and more eyes on details of events. If you have a more intimate celebration, we can customize the package for your needs.
What's required to secure my date?
$500 non-refundable retainer is due upon signing. You may not have your packages figured out yet...and that's okay! After 30 days, an additional $500 deposit is due. At that time, we should have a better idea of what type of coverage/services you may need!
What style do you shoot? Can you do a style I prefer?
Our style is realism - and this is how we see timeless! We strongly encourage clients to look through our portfolio for our editing style. This is Heart & Root Photography and we aim to share similar visions of timelessness with our booked clientele. Not every cookie fits the same cutter, and that is okay.
How many weddings do you book a year?
We take on limited weddings a year to focus on our client experience and value.
Do you offer videography?
We offer videography as an add-on to packages 6+ hours. Please inquire at time of booking.
Wedding Day Questions
We don't take photos of us often. How will we do?
You know what's crazy?! Being in love is BEAUTIFUL. The way you look at your fiancee, your mom...these MOMENTS are beautiful. I want you to live your moments and I will definitely help guide you with the rest <3
What kind of gear do you use?
I have used Canon equipment comfortable for over 10 years. My gear includes 3 camera bodies, 7 lenses, and off camera lighting equipment to ensure quality work.
Do you do large bridal parties?
I've done bridal parties of 30 total (15 on EACH SIDE). So, yes!!! You need to know your next steps and have a plan. I got you covered!
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Yes! We are happy to stay as long as you need. We will have an extension contract signed prior to the event. If you decide to extend during the event. Rates will be established at time of contract signing.
I have poses that I want to include on my wedding day. How does that work?
Collaboration is key on a wedding day! I prioritize talking through all your needs before your big day so you can focus being present and I can do the rest. I encourage clients to send me inspirational photos or "must have" poses so we can fulfill their entire vision.
How do you manage dark venues / churches / indoor setups for photography?
I have extensive off camera flash experience so please take a look through my galleries for examples. I can shoot in pure darkness and get the most romantic images that way too. (for my savvy clients, I use all godox OCF!)
After the Wedding
When we will get our images?
We provide a 48 hour sneak peek of 5-10 images in your personalized gallery. Your full gallery will be delivered in 4-6 weeks.
Do you create albums or can I order prints?
Our highest tier currently includes a customized standard photo album. We recommend ordering prints through our print shop with our professional labs. This willl ensure quality colors for lasting memory.
Do you share our images on social media?
I believe in an extent of privacy for my clients - I strictly use initials and I do not tag my clients in photos to link them to their personal accounts (unless they request it).
